How to spot it
Be outside a few minutes early, facing where it appears. The ISS looks like a bright, steady star moving across the sky. It doesn’t blink, and it crosses in a few minutes. It often vanishes before reaching the horizon as it passes into Earth’s shadow.
Updated 3 November 2026 at 04:00 UTC, from ISS orbit elements 0.4 days old. The station sometimes fires its engines to raise its orbit, which shifts times by a few seconds or more, so check again on the day. How these predictions are made.
